RUNNING TO THE CHAPEL

Dozens of Spartans enjoyed their traditional pre-Christmas off road run to the Minsden Chapel near Preston in North Hertfordshire.  A very chilly morning but about fifty ran.

Runners had a choice – start in the Old Stevenage High Street to run about 11 miles, start at the Meadway for about 8 miles and start at the Rusty Gun for about 4.5 miles.

Parkrun Highlights 21st December – Islands North and South

34 Spartans ran parkruns on Saturday 21st.  The majority, 24, were at Stevenage.

On Saturday Spartan SIMON JACKSON achieved his 50th parkrun milestone and was second in the race with 17 minutes 59 seconds.

430 ran Stevenage.  That’s comparable with the 421 last week but watch out for the extra on Christmas Day!

Spartans elsewhere included two who went north and south to run on islands.  ROS INGRAM was on Orkney finishing the Kirkwall parkrun in 27:10 and JUDY KING ran the Guernsey parkrun in 31:56.…..
