On Saturday 23rd October, Fairlands Valley Spartans TIM ROBINSON and ROBERT WRIGHT ran the Beachy Head Marathon. Cross Country is back and despite many other races elsewhere 27 Spartans, 15 men and 12 women, ran the first Sunday League fixture of 2021 at Cheshunt on Sunday morning. A little bit of rain loosened up what is usually a very dry event at the start of the season. The fastest Spartan, eleventh of about 400 runners, was JONATHAN PARR […]

Thank you to everybody who was able to make the 2nd Midweek fixture in Chingford. Turnout was lower than for our home fixture resulting in FVS finishing 6th in all of the races to drop into the relegation zone at the half way stage of the competition. However the battle for survival could not be any closer with Orion Harriers on 10 points and both Garden City Runners and Fairlands Valley Spartans both with 9 points. Indeed just 1 more lady runner of 51 minutes or quicker would have been enough to have maintained 4th position overall, proving once again that if we can manage to get enough members to turn out we can survive in division 1.
The FVS 3k relays incorporates the Hertfordshire Road Relay Championship for Seniors and Veterans and the Herts County and ARC short relay championships. If you wish to enter a team to compete in the ARC Short Relay Championships you need to enter before the day.

Over the course of a year, David managed his diet (otherwise […]
