JONATHAN PARR PB 10K

Plus Virtual Bests

 

In his first actual race since March 2020 JONATHAN PARR ran the RunThough 10K event at Olympic Park on Saturday morning.  He finished fourth overall, first in his age category (M35), and with a rapid new personal best (PB) time of 33 minutes 11 seconds, an improvement of 58 seconds.

 

SwimRun Nick

NICK KLEANTHOUS completed his second SwimRun at Box End Lake comprising of 6.5km of 6 alternate run and swims around and across the Lake.  It was a matter of survival with temperatures falling this week, and several competitors pulling out after the first swim.  He finished in 58 minutes, two minutes quicker than last time.  Nick says Tuesday club training with the Spartans has definitely improved his running sections as he moved up to second male 50 plus this time.

 

More Virtual 10Ks

 

Standalone

JAMES McSWEENEY said it was nice to have a result to email.  He ran 49:58 in the Standalone Virtual 10K saying it was super to just get below 50 minutes and get his fastest 10K time in 18 months.

AMY DOWNS was excited to run her first race for Spartans.  She did 01:04:25 in the Virtual Standalone 10K.

PAUL HOLGATE completed the virtual Standalone running 25 x 400m on his Gunnels Wood Road one mile loop in 1 hour 8 minutes 51 seconds.

 

Stevenage 10K

Nicola Andersson took advantage of an almost perfect Sunday morning to run her virtual Stevenage 10K in 55 minutes 33 seconds.

 

Other Virtuals

In the nineteenth Fly 5K virtual NICK KLEANTHOUS was 87th in 27:23. JIM BROWN was third male 65 plus at 98th in 28:08 and PAUL HOLGATE 143rd in 36:07.

In the 17th (not) Stevenage ParkRun James McSweeney improved his year’s best 5K time by 18 seconds to 24:39; Nicola Andersson ran an excellent 26:13; Jim Brown enjoyed a great morning in Stevenage to improve on his Fly 5K time with 26:13; Nick Kleanthous finished in 27:26; with Paul Jennings in 30:48; Penny Schenkel in 34:59 and Paul Holgate in 36:07
